On-site Exchange

On May 20^th, Ms. Hu Zeying, Director of Government Affairs of Springer Nature, visited the Secretariat Office of the Zhongguancun Global High-level Think Tank Alliance (ZGCTA) for an exchange presided over by Dr. Li Junkai, ZGCTA Secretary-General and Director of the International and Regional Cooperation Center of the Beijing Academy of Science and Technology (BJAST).

Li briefly introduced BJAST and ZGCTA. Since its establishment in 2020, ZGCTA has been committed to in-depth cooperation among high-level think tanks, gathering resources from advanced institutions and improving multilateral exchange and cooperation platforms, according to Li. ZGCTA looks forward to strengthening cooperation with Springer Nature by sharing resources, complementing each other with its proper advantages and contributing to the development of scientific research.

Hu introduced Springer Nature. The Group was formed upon the merger of Macmillan Science and Education with Springer Science+Business Media in 2015. As one of the world’s leading scientific research publishers, its family of renowned brands includes Springer, Nature Portfolio, BMC, Palgrave Macmillan and Scientific American. Hu shared the Group’s visions and practices in open science and dissemination of research outputs, expressing aspirations to further cooperate with ZGCTA in academic publishing, academic conferences and other aspects.

The two sides had an in-depth discussion on how to better share scientific and technological information and promote joint research projects, therefore laying a solid foundation for bilateral collaboration.
